The new Mk.6 mains conditioner was in action at the Bristol Sound and Vision show and helped Neat Acoustics win the BFA Best Stereo Demonstration award. Neat used a clever combination of acoustic panels and the James Audio power conditioner to overcome some of the main barriers to good quality sound at a hi-fi show.

Prices

The class leading Mk.6 James Audio power conditioner is now available for immediate delivery at £1195. This features a number of improvements over the Mk.5 conditioner including a re-worked case and a substantial reduction in mains impedance providing even greater performance.

The Mk.6 has been trialled and tested in a number of different systems under both high and low mains noise conditions to ensure that mains noise is removed without introducing any negative effects from the conditioner. We are confident that we have achieved this so if you don’t agree that this product makes even the best hi-fi system sound better, return it within 30 days, for a full refund. Mains conditioner no-cost options

The James Audio power conditioner is hand-built, from more than 250 high quality parts. The assembly stage takes more than ten hours. The unit uses no printed circuit boards, this would compromise the optimum layout. A small degree of customisation can easily be accommodated.
The following options are available at no extra cost:

Colour of illuminated power-switch. Green is standard but red may be specified.

A 2m low-impedance mains-lead with RF chokes is supplied as standard. Lengths from 1 to 5m may be specified.

Mains-lead connector into the power conditioner: A right-angle IEC connector is supplied as standard (to minimise RF coupling between the incoming mains lead and the output leads, outside the unit). A straight IEC connector may be specified if this is difficult to accommodate within a rack system.

Mains conditioner upgrades

Mk.5 mains conditioners can be upgraded to Mk.6 specification for just the price difference between the two models. To arrange for this work to be carried out, see the upgrades page.
